Welcome to the Hospice Dash!

September 22, 2012Porter-on-the-Lake Park

Thank you for your interest in the 2012 Niagara Hospice Dash! Now in its fourth year, this family friendly event has quickly become one of the premier 5K races of the fall running season in Western New York. Our brand new course is fast, relatively flat and includes a new finish line inside Porter-on-the-Lake Park. Join us immediately following the race for food, drinks, and great live music!

Once again, all runners will have the opportunity to run or walk in memory of someone special. Each pre-registered athlete will receive a custom made finisher medal to highlight their accomplishment. The medal will feature the Hospice Dash Logo on the front and the ability to insert the name of the person they ran in memory of on the back.

This year some 5,000 runners will be running our half marathon and another 300-500 for our 5K race. Be sure to register early to ensure your spot in this great annual tradition. As in the past, our post-race party will be open to family and friends for small donation.

Thanks again for supporting Niagara Hospice. I look forward to seeing everyone on race day!

This year our half-marathon will take place on the morning of September 22nd. The official start time is set for 9:00 am beginning at Artpark in Lewiston, New York. The race will wind it's way through the historic villages of Lewiston and Youngstown via River Road before entering Fort Niagara State Park. From there, runners will travel down Lake Road to Four Mile State Park and the finish line at Porter-on-the-Lake. Our race committee is in the process of booking numerous live bands that will be spread out throughout the course. Soul Committee will be our feature band at the pre-race concert at Artpark and Strictly Hip will be providing musical entertainment at our post-race party. A brand new website is in the works and is set to launch by April 15, 2012!
